PURPOSE: To provide the title production process so designed that a polymerized thin film from e.g., a fluorine-based compound is formed, by e.g., polymerization, on one surface of a dyed polyester knit fabric, thereby improving adhesivity to a coating layer to be applied on said cloth (fabric) and preventing the dye from migration through sublimation.
CONSTITUTION: A mixture of (A) a monomer consisting of fluorine-based compound or silane-based compound and (B) another gas (e.g., (non)polymerizable gas) is subjected to plasma polymerization or discharge grafting technique to form a polymerized thin film 0.03-0.3μ thick on one or both surface of a dyed polyester knit fabric. This thin film formation allows great improvement in the adhesivity to the coating layer or laminating layer to be applied on said polyester cloth (fabric) used in e.g., shoes, and prevents the dye from migration to said layer through sublimation. In case said polyester cloth contains ≥30wt.% of a constituent fiber with rough surface, the adhesivity would further be increased.
