Abstract:
To provide a method for producing a polyester in which inactive particles suitable for films are homogeneously dispersed.
This method for producing a polyester containing inactive particles comprises adding the ethylene glycol slurry of the inactive particles to the esterification product of terephthalic acid with ethylene glycol. Therein, the esterification product having a viscosity of ≤5 dPa.s at 250°C is mixed with the inactive particle ethylene glycol slurry having a viscosity of ≤5 dPa.s at 20°C in a condition that the difference (absolute value) between the viscosities is ≤1 dPa.s, stirred for 10-60 min and subsequently polycondensed until giving an intrinsic viscosity of 0.5-1.0.
