Abstract:
PURPOSE: To provide a process for stability producing a polyester fiber cord for rubber reinforcement exhibiting high adhesiveness to rubber in high operability.
CONSTITUTION: This polyester fiber cord is produced by applying a spinning oil to melt-spun polyester fiber yarn, drawing the yarn under heating, applying a finishing oil containing an epoxy compound, winding the yarn, twisting the yarn by conventional method to obtain a cord, heat-treating the cord at 140-240°C and treating the product with a liquid produced by mixing a precondensate of resorcinol and formaldehyde with a rubber latex and aging the mixture.
