Abstract:
To produce polyester fibers capable of molding a flexible hose excellent in damping properties and improved in adhesion to a rubber matrix.
Polyester fibers are treated with a treating agent containing a polyepoxide compound at the time of spinning or drawing to provide a cord, which is then treated with a treating agent containing a resorcinol-formalin- rubber latex(RFL) and a chloroform-based compound so as to afford ≤300 mg Gurley hardness of the treated cord when treating the cord with the treating agent.
