PURPOSE: To obtain a polyolefin resin compsn. having excellent mechanical characteristics and moldability, by mixing a polyolefin resin with a filler in the presence of a free-radical generating agent with heating, the surface of said filler being coated with a specified modified liquid rubber.
CONSTITUTION: The surface of a filler is coated with a modified liquid rubber having at least one side chain in the molecule, said side chain having one or more acidic groups, unsaturated groups and imide groups. Then this coated filler is mixed with a polyolefin resin in the presence of a free-radical generating agent with heating. As said modified liquid rubber, there is used a modified diene rubber derived from a liquid diene rubber and having at least one side chain of the formula wherein R1, R3, R4 are each H, halogen; R2 is hydrocarbon residue; X is H, etc.; Y is a linkage to a liquid rubber chain.
