Abstract:

PURPOSE: To produce a polyolefin having a predetermined density by polymerizing an olefin with a comonomer in a polymerization zone in the presence of a catalyst and hydrogen.
CONSTITUTION: The density of a polyolefin obtained by polymerization is measured. The found value and operating condition data K1 to K11 which govern the reaction conditions are inputted into a computer 30, which arithmetically processes all these data to estimate the state of the reaction. Based on the estimate, a change in the density of the polyolefin to be produced in the polymerization vessel is estimated. The amounts in which the operating conditions should be changed are calculated based on a comparison between the estimated density and the desired one, and the operating conditions are changed according to the calculation results (S1 to S4) to thereby produce a polyolefin having a predetermined density. Thus, a polyolefin having a desired density according to a molding method or application therefor can be stably produced without fail.
