Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing a polyorganosiloxane latex advantageously on energy in simple polymerization processes in a state small in the amount of a surfactant used therein.
SOLUTION: This method for producing a polyorganosiloxane latex comprises charging an organosiloxane, water and a surfactant into a reactor 11, emulsifying the dispersing the prepared mixture liquid in water with an emulsifying and dispersing machine 13 and an emulsifying and dispersing 14 in a pass style, transferring all of the treated liquid into a reactor 15, adding (B) a non- emulsified and non-dispersed organosiloxane into the reactor 15, polymerizing the obtained heterogeneous mixture comprising (A) 0-95 pts.wt. of the emulsified and dispersed organosiloxane and (B) 100-5 pts.wt. of the non-emulsified and dispersed organosiloxane with stirring the heterogeneous mixture with a stirring blade 16, emulsifying and dispersing the polymerized mixture liquid with emulsifying and dispersing machines 17, 18 in an outer circulation style, and subsequently further polymerizing the treated liquid in the reactor 15.
