Abstract:
PURPOSE:To provide a flame-resistant polyurethane having a good quality by employing an aminoalkylphosphonic acid derivative obtained by addition- reacting an alcoholic hydroxyl group-containing amino compound with formaldehyde in a specific ratio, dehydrating the product and subsequently reacting the dehydrated product with a dialkyl phosphite. CONSTITUTION:An alcoholic hydroxyl group-containing amino compound (preferably N,N'-diisopropanolethylenediamine) is reacted with formaldehyde in a molar ratio of 1.0-<1.1, preferably 1:1, and the reaction product is dehydrated and subsequently reacted with a dialkyl phosphite to provide and aminoalkylphosphonic acid derivative having a low acid value, preferably an acid value of <=2mgKOH/g. The obtained derivative is reacted with a polyol, organic diisocyanate, catalyst, foaming agent, foam-stabilizer, etc., to provide a flame-resistant polyurethane having a good quality.
