PURPOSE: To easily form the title porous amorphous metal layer simultaneously with amorphousness impartation by projecting a laser beam on the surface of a metal to be easily made amorphous formed on a substrate so that many pores are formed or the parts not irradiated with the beam are scattered.
CONSTITUTION: The metal to be easily made amorphous is metallurgically combined with the surface of the metallic substrate having a high heat conductivity in the form of thin film. A pulse laser beam is projected on the surface under the conditions where an amorphous metal having many pores is obtained or the beam is projected so that the parts not irradiated with the beam are scattered under the conditions where the amorphous metal is obtained in uniform thickness, and the amorphous parts are eluted and eliminated. By this method, the porous amorphous metal layer of various shapes can be obtained.
