Abstract:

PURPOSE: To obtain a porous high-molecular membrane improved in affinity to water or a solvent by contact-treating a polymer particle of a raw material or a part thereof with a fluorine-containing gas before producing the porous high-molecular membrane.

CONSTITUTION: The particle of a addition polymer of polyolefin or the like such as polyethylene, polypropylene is used as the raw material polymer particle. The surface is modified by allowing ≥10wt.% of the raw material polymer particle to contact-treat with a gas such as an inert gas containing gaseous fluorine or an inorganic gas capable of chemically bonding with the polymer particle. After that, an organic compound such as acrylic acid, ethylene is brought into contact therewith after the gaseous fluorine-containing gas is sufficiently removed. As the result, the affinity to water or the other solvent or the adhesion to metals or the like is improved.
