PURPOSE: To simply obtain a powder cosmetic having two different colors at both the side ends of a single container and changed in the color tones in a gradational state having no border between the color tones.

CONSTITUTION: The method for producing the powder cosmetic changed in the color tones comprises mounting a dividing plate (3) on the diagonal cross section of a female mold (1), mounting the female mold in a cosmetic-receiving section (2), charging two powder cosmetics (5),(6) having different colors, respectively, so as to position at both the side ends of the container, removing the dividing plate (3), inserting a dividing frame (4) having plural dividing plates arranged in parallel to or at a constant angle to the side surface of the female mold (1) instead of the removed dividing plate (3), homogeneously mixing the powder cosmetics in each division, removing the dividing frame (4), and subsequently compressing the mixed cosmetics with a male mold. The cosmetic regularly changed in the color tones can simply be obtained only by preparing the two colored powder cosmetics to be positioned at both the side ends of the container.
