Abstract:

PURPOSE: To obtain far-infrared radiation powder effective for health and beauty by mixing alumina, silica, clay, iron oxide, manganese dioxide, copper oxide and cobalt oxide at specific ratios, kneading with water and baking at a high temperature.

CONSTITUTION: The objective far-infrared radiation powder is produced by mixing 30-60% aluminum oxide, 10-30% silica, 10-30% clay (e.g. KAWAZUME clay), 2-8% iron oxide, 2-6% manganese dioxide, 2-6% copper oxide and 1-5% cobalt oxide, kneading the mixture with water, baking at 1150-1250°C for 15-20 hr and finely pulverizing the product with a ball-mill, etc. The powder radiates a large amount of intensive far-infrared radiation and is useful as a material for activating a solvent or drinking water to promote the human health. A skin-beautifying effect can be attained by mixing the powder into cosmetics.
