To provide a production process of a zinc-iron alloy galvanized steel sheet having improved corrosion resistance and highly enhanced quality.
This production process comprises: a pretreatment stage for cleaning and pickling the surface of a steel sheet; a main stage for performing galvanization of the pretreated steel sheet by passing it through a galvanization cell; and subsequently, a post-treatment stage consisting of cleaning and drying operations for the resulting treated steel sheet; wherein the pretreated steel sheet is passed through an electrolytic solution containing 23-34 wt.% of ZnSO4.7 H2O, 37-84 wt.% of FeSO4.7H2O, 21-32 wt.% of (NH4)SO4 and 1-8 wt.% KCl on the basis of 100 wt.% of the total of these compounds, while adjusting the temperature of the electrolytic solution, pH value of the electrolytic solution and current density to 48-52°C, 3-4 and 50-100 mA/cm2 respectively, to form a galvanized coating layer having 5-8 μm thickness.
