Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a magnetic migration type display device friendly to environment at the time of disposal, and capable of preventing a display cut in boundary parts between every cell (boundary parts), and capable of improving contrast, and its manufacturing method.
SOLUTION: This magnetic migration type color display device 2 has a transparent front face panel sheet 4 comprising polyethylene terephthalate, a back face panel sheet 6 arranged so that a sealed space 8 is formed between itself and the front face panel 4, partitioning members 10 formed between the front face panel sheet 4 and the back face panel sheet 6 with the thickness of 0.8-1.5 mm, for dividing the sealed space 8 into many cells, and plural dispersed liquids 12a-12c including plural magnetic particles 14a-14c enclosed inside each cell divided by the partitioning members 10. The mean particle size of the colored magnetic particles 14a-14c is 50-200 μm, and the magnetization of the colored magnetic particles 14a-14c is 20.0 emu/g or more when an applied magnetic field is 500 (Oe). The partitioning members 10 are composed of a honeycomb structure formed by coating paper with a resin.
