Title:
PRODUCTION OF RAISED STRETCH KNIT
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPH03294569
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

PURPOSE: To obtain the subject raised knit excellent in stretchability by knitting a tricot using polybutylene terephthalate fiber as a part or all of back yarns, carrying out raising and subsequently carrying out tentering heat treatment at a temperature within a specified range while loosening the raised tricot in the warp direction.

CONSTITUTION: A tricot ground fabric is knitted using polybutylene terephthalate fiber as a part or all of back yarns and raising treatment is subsequently carried out. Tentering heat treatment is then carried out at 120-190°C, preferably 150-180°C while overfeeding about 20-50% in the warp direction. As the tricot ground fabric, one having stitch density of 20-28 wale/inch and 40-60 course/inch is preferably used and an objective raised knit having about 50-70/inch course density and ≥30% elongation by 10kg load to 5cm width can be obtained by the above-mentioned processes.
