Abstract:

To provide a reduced pellet having high reducing ratio and a producing method thereof which has suitable grain size and strength without containing low zinc content as harmful component as a blast furnace raw material, in dust generated in the iron works and containing iron oxide, particularly, by using the blast furnace dust and the other dust containing zinc component.

Carbonaceous material is adjusted so as to become the carbon content of 7-20 mass% of the total content of iron and zinc in the mixed raw material containing one or more kinds of dusts containing the iron oxide and zinc oxide and sufficient quantity of binder to combine the dust, and moisture is added, and this raw material is granulated into green pellet including the carbonaceous material. Successively, this granulated green pellet is dried and the dried pellet is charged into the sintering furnace and heated so as to be become 3-13°C/sec temp. rising speed from 150°C to 900°C of this pellet mainly with the heat conduction of the radiation and the reduction of the zinc oxide and volatization of zinc are executed, and also the iron oxide is reduced.
