Abstract:
PURPOSE: To provide the process for production of the novel reel retaining spring of a video cassette which has two points of matching, has a good yield, is scrapless and is fewer in stages.
CONSTITUTION: A band-shaped spring sheet material 8 having a prescribed width is transported. Cutting lines 9, 10 of a single ply which are discontinuous at the center and continuous at both ends with both side edges of the same material are obtd. at the same every other spacing as the width of a finished product 7 at the points on the line orthogonal with the feed direction at the front end point of this band-shaped spring sheet material under transportation. Round, square or other cut holes 12 are lanced at the discontinuous points 11 formed at the center of the cutting lines 9, 10 in such a manner that the cutting edges of these round, square or other cut holes 12 cross the single ply cutting lines 9, 10 on both sides.
