PURPOSE: To reuse sludge of waste effectively and to obtain an inexpensive, useful composition suitable for eliminating pollution, by burning sludge of paper discharged in a wastepaper regenerating process to give ash, blending the ash with a thermoplastic resin, melting under heating and kneading.

CONSTITUTION: In a process wherein wastepaper is loosened to give wastepaper pulp, which is sent to a paper making process to regenerate a paper material, sludge of paper discharged in the paper making process is burnt into ash and a thermoplastic resin is blended with the ash in a proper ratio, melted under heating and kneaded. Polyethylene, polypropylene, etc., are used as the resin. A molded article obtained from the composition has improved characteristics of rigidity, especially tensile strength.
