Abstract:

PURPOSE: To produce a resin molding having excellent resistance to friction and wear and suitable for use as a material for sliding parts, by mixing a specified poly--caprolactam powder with a synthetic resin and molding the resulting resin compsn.

CONSTITUTION: A poly--caprolactam contg. microcrystalline wax (having a m.p. of 75W100°C and an MW of 500W1,000) uniformly dispersed therein, obtd. by polymerizing -caprolactam in the presence of said wax, is used. 10W100pts.wt. said wax-contg. poly--caprolactam powder (or particle or flake) is mixed with 100pts.wt. synthetic resin such as polyamide, polyacetal or polyether sulfone. The resulting resin is injection-molded or extruded.
