PURPOSE: To produce a rigid foam of excellent impact resistance, by reacting a specified polymer component-containing polyol composition with a polyisocyanate compound.
CONSTITUTION: A polymer component-containing polyol composition of a polymer content ≤3wt% and an average OH value of about 250W800 is obtained by dehydrating, by heating in vacuum, a mixture containing a base polyol of an OH value of about 250W800 (e.g., polyester-polyol) and a rubber latex of a glass transition point ≤30°C, an average particle diameter ≤1μ and a solid concentration of 20W75wt% (e.g., styrene/butadiene copolymer latex). The obtained composition is reacted with a polyisocyanate compound in an amount to provide 85W130 isocyanato groups per 100 OH groups of the above composition in the presence of additives such as blowing agent and a catalyst to obtain a rigid foam of a density ≥0.3g/cm2.
