Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve storage stability of polyol mixture with the passage of time while maintaining excellent heat conductivity and mechanical strength of a heat insulating material when cyclopentane is used as a foaming agent.
SOLUTION: In a method for producing a rigid polyurethane foam by using a polyisocyanate having a benzene ring as an organic isocyanate and using a polyether polyol and/or polyester polyol as a polyol, a hydrocarbon (e.g. cyclopentane or n-pentane) is used as a foaming agent and a compound having both of hydrophobic group and hydroxyl group (e.g. t-butanol) in the molecule is used as an emulsifier.
