Abstract:
PURPOSE:To escape the swarf at the time of cutting and to improve workability by forming hollow grooves between the side faces of the rotary polygonal mirror. CONSTITUTION:Plural pieces of the rotary polygonal mirror bodies 16 are simultaneously worked in the case of formation of the side faces 22 thereof. Namely, the bodies 16 are so set to a jig 21 that the end faces overlap on each other and the hollow grooves 23 formed by step parts are formed between the side faces 22. The respective side faces 22 are simultaneously cut. Then, the swar generated by cutting are discharged from the hollow grooves 23 and the trouble by clogging of the swarf is prevented.
