Abstract:
PURPOSE:To obtain the above resin of excellent dispersibility in good efficiency at a small heat consumption by using a simple inexpensive apparatus, by feeding a specified graft rubber polymer latex, a water-soluble chemical, an organic chemical, etc. to a continuous kneader through respective inlets, feeding the separated organic phase to an extruder and processing it. CONSTITUTION:A graft rubber polymer latex prepared by the emulsion graft polymerization of a vinyl monomer with a rubber latex is fed to a continuous kneader through an inlet II; at most 10wt.%, based on the graft rubber polymer, water-soluble chemical which coagulates the latex is fed to it through an inlet III; 10-600wt.%, based on the graft rubber polymer etc., organic chemical of a water solubility <=5wt.% (at the barrel temperature at a water exit VI) is fed from an inlet IV to the coagulated latex mixture obtained during the course to an inlet IV distant from the inlets II and III by a distance L1 which is one to five times as large as the screw diameter; the water phase separated by kneading during the course to a distance L2 of 4D-20D is discharged through an exit VI; the graft rubber polymer mixture is discharged through an organic phase discharge exit IX and is fed to an extruder through an inlet XI to obtain the above resin.
