PURPOSE: To increase loading efficiency of chips to a circuit board in an automatic mounting machine, in a series of taping parts of chips made of paper and supply a production method by which the tape is not folded in the posterior process like a reel-winding.

CONSTITUTION: After containing holes 6 of chips 10 are formed on a paper tape 4, a heating tool 7 kept at a certain temperature is inserted in the containing holes 6 to do heat-treatment for a certain interval. And then, after the chips 10 are placed in the containing holes 6 in a stuck condition of a lower tape 9 in the paper tape 4, an upper tape 11 is stuck on the paper tape 4. Since the containing holes 6 are heat-treated, fibrous pieces are burned and rejected and hence, it can prevent the chips 10 from incorrect loading. The heat-treated positions are only the containing holes 6 and it does not damages the elasticity of the fibrous paper tape 4. And hence, folding of the paper tape 4 in a posterial process like the reel-winding and deterioration of the adhesive strength of the upper and lower tapes 11, 9 against the paper tape 4 can be prevented.
