Abstract:
PURPOSE: To obtain a polymer compsn. which is excellent both in compression set properties and in dispersion of silica by incorporating a silane coupling agent together with silica into an acrylic polymer.
CONSTITUTION: This polymer compsn. is produced by subjecting an alkyl (meth) acrylate and/or an alkoxyalkyl (meth)acrylate and a monomer providing a cross-linking site to emulsion or suspension polymn. and adding an aq. dispersion contg. both silica and a silane coupling agent to the polymn. system when a specified degree of polymn. is reached.
