Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing silica gel sharp in fine pore diameters, capable of controlling the BET specific surface area, fine pore volume and average fine pore diameter of the silica gel to desired ranges, respectively.
SOLUTION: This method for producing silica gel comprises drying silica hydrogel. Therein, the drying of the silica hydrogel is performed by a batch type fluidized drying method. The water content of the dried silica hydrogel is preferably 50-80wt.%. The batch type fluidized drying method is preferably performed in an exhaust gas temperature ranging from 20 to 150°C.
