Title:
PRODUCTION OF SILICA USING MICROBIAL CELL SKS
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP05284979
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

PURPOSE: To biologically obtain silica having uniform particle size using a microbial cell SKS from a substance containing silica.

CONSTITUTION: Silica is extracted utilizing action of microbial cell SKS by mixing a silica-containing substance with a microbial cell SKS consisting of mixed bacteria of a SKS-1 bacterium belonging to gram-positive endospore- forming bacterium (mesophile), SKS-2 bacterium belonging to gram-positive endospore-forming bacterium (thermophile), SKS-3 bacterium belonging to gram- positive asporogenous rod-shaped bacterium, SKS-4 bacterium belonging to Actinomyces (thermophile), SKS-5 bacterium belonging to Actinomyces (mesophile), SKS-6 bacterium belonging to catalase-positive and gram-positive coccus, SKS-7 bacterium belonging to Enterobacteriaceae, SKS-8 bacterium belonging to fungus and SKS-9 bacterium belonging to strict anaerobic endospore-forming rod and then allowing the mixture to stand while giving specific humidity and temperature conditions.
