Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing a silicon steel sheet using a siliconizing method capable of obtaining desired magnetic properties without complicating a furnace structure and deteriorating the quality.
SOLUTION: Siliconizing treatment by which Si is penetrated from the surface of a steel sheet and diffusing treatment by which the penetrated Si is diffused into the steel sheet are executed in the same gas atmosphere in the same furnace. The treating time and treating interval in the siliconizing treatment and the diffusing treatment are controlled, thereby the siliconizing and diffusing rates are controlled, and the distribution of the Si concn. in the sheet thickness direction of the steel sheet is controlled.
