Abstract:

To provide a method for easily producing an electric oven capable of preventing a metal layer of a heat generating body from a deterioration by suppressing an oxidative evaporation thereof and improving an enduring property.

This method for producing a small electric oven for processing an optical fiber, is to electro-deposit ceramic particles by using an electrophoretic method on a small electric oven for processing the optical fiber, prepared by closely forming a heat generating metal on the surface of a ceramic supporting body, and sinter the particle to form a ceramic coating. As the ceramic particles, an alumina fine powder, a zirconia fine powder, a titania fine powder or a magnesia fine powder are preferable. The sintering is preferably performed at 1500-1650°C.
