Abstract:
PURPOSE: To increase the productivity of soap without deterioration in quality.
CONSTITUTION: The soap composition is fed from the inlet 4 to the grinding and kneading chamber 3 in the barrel 2 and taken out from the outlet 5 arranged horizontally apart from the inlet 4. In the meantime, the soap composition is given the propulsive force from the inlet 4 to the outlet 5 by the feeding helical gears mounted to the outer peripheries of a couple of parallel-arranged shafts which are driven in the directions opposite to each other in the grinding and kneading chamber 3. Fine particles or granules in the soap composition are ground in the spaces between the teeth of the helical gear on one shaft and those on the other shaft. On the way of the grinding process, the cooling step is interposed so that the composition is allowed to flow through the cooling area 20 in which no helical gear is mounted.
