This solid lubricant roller bearing is obtained by grinding the surface of a rolling body 13 to remove extra solid lubricant film after forming MoS2 solid lubricant film having a film thickness of 0.5 R1-2.0R1 through spattering on the surface of the rolling body 13, wherein the surface roughness of the rolling body 13 is expressed by Ry=R2 using Ry as the maximum height, and forming a transfer film having a film thickness of 0.5R2-2.0R2 through rubbing MoS2 or a self-lubricant composite into the respective transfer surfaces of an internal ring 11 and an external ring 12, wherein the surface roughness of the respective transfer surfaces of the internal ring 11 and external ring 12 is expressed by Ry=R2 using Ry as the maximum height. Since the extra layer of the solid lubricant film on the surface of the rolling body 13 is removed, development of dust is lessened at the early stage of operation.
