PURPOSE: To obtain the titled exterminating agent, by adding a very small amount of a high polymer substance to an exterminating agent against soil nematode to give a mixture, gelatinizing the mixture with an organic solvent containing dibenzylidene sorbitol and a gelatinization rate adjuster and solidifying.

CONSTITUTION: An exterminating agent against soil nematode (e.g. mixture of 1,3-dichloropropane and 1,2-dichloropropane) is blended with 0.5W2pts.wt. based on sum of a high polymer substance (chloroprene synthetic rubber using preferably antioxidant) to give a mixture, which is gelatinized with an organic solvent containing dibenzylidene sorbitol and a gelatinization rate adjuster (e.g. ethylene glycol dialkyl ethers) to give a solid substance. Silica powder is attached to the surface, subjected to vacuum packaging with a water-soluble film or the solid substance is ground,the ground substance and highly oil absorbing powder are subjected to rotary molding and granulated to give the aimed substance. The exterminating agent against soil nematode requires neutrality. The prepared solid agent has high strength, reduced irritating smell and good operation efficiency.
