Title:
PRODUCTION OF SPECIAL POLYESTER FILAMENT YARN
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPS55148213
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

PURPOSE: To obtain a special filament yarn having uneven exhaustion, heat shrinkage, and thickness, in the long direction, and uniform mixing state in any cross- section in the long direction as a whole, by drawing an undrawn polyethylene terephthalate yarn which is heat-treated under specific conditions.

CONSTITUTION: An undrawn polyethylene terephthalate filament yarn is heat- treated at 45W65°C, preferably 45W55°C, under a tension of 0.5W0.8g/d, preferably 0.5W0.6g/d, and immediately drawn at 130W200°C, preferably 140W180°C, at a draw ratio of 0.8W1.15 times the natural draw ratio.

EFFECT: Reduced waxy and plane touch unique to synthetic fibers, scarcely causing cohesion or breakage of filaments even in the false-twisting step.
