PURPOSE: To provide a method for producing a parenteral injection in which the reduction in content and crystallization are suppressed by comprising at least either of a specific stabilizer and an antioxidant in an antiviral agent 9-[(2-hydroxyethoxy)methyl] guanidine (acyc lovir) and regulating the resultant mixture to a specific pH.
CONSTITUTION: This method for producing a stable antiviral parenteral injection is to comprise at least either of a stabilizer which is one selected from an aromatic carboxylic acid, an aliphatic carboxylic acid, a hydroxycarboxylic acid, a chelating agent and metallic salts thereof or a mixture of two or more thereof and an antioxidant that is one selected from sulfites, hydroxycarboxylic acids and alkali metallic salts of the hydroxycarboxylic acids or a mixture of two or more thereof. Furthermore, the pH of the parenteral injection is 10-13 and the acyclovir concentration thereof is 0.1-10%.
