PURPOSE: To form various kinds of information recording media having fine grooves with high accuracy by forming patterns of a photosensitive resin on a metallic substrate, immersing the substrate in a specific aq. soln. and electrolyzing the metallic substrate as anode.
CONSTITUTION: The substrate 1 on which the patterns 6 of the photosensitive resin are formed are subjected to the electrolysis so that desired grooves 8 are formed on the parts, except the patterned parts, of this substrate 1. An aq. soln. contg. ≥1 kinds selected from a group consisting of phosphoric acid, the alkaline salt of the phosphoric acid and chromic acid is used for the electrolyte. The patterns 6 on the substrate 1 are finally removed by a remover liquid for the photosensitive resin, by which a stamper 7 is obtd. The stamper having the high accuracy is thereby obtd. with good economic efficiency.
