Title:
PRODUCTION OF SUBSTITUTED PYRROLE POLYMER
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPH05271392
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:
PURPOSE:To obtain the subject polymer useful as an antistatic material, etc., by a simple device, simply and efficiently by reacting a substituted pyrrole derivative in the presence of an oxidizing agent while introducing air. CONSTITUTION:A substituted pyrrole derivative (e.g. butyl-4-methyl-3- pyrrolecarboxylate) of formula I (R1 and R2 are H, nitro, cyano, alkyl, etc.) is reacted in the presence of an oxidizing agent (e.g. FeCl3) while introducing air or oxygen to give the objective polymer of formula II (n is 100-1,000). The reaction temperature is preferably 0-30 deg.C, the amount of air introduced is preferably 100-2,000ml/minute based on 1mol compound of formula I and the molar ratio of the oxidizing agent to the compound I is preferably 2.4-3mols. The reaction, to be concrete, for example, is carried out by dripping a solution of the compound of formula I to a solution of the oxidizing agent in ethyl acetate.
