Title:
PRODUCTION OF SUPERCONDUCTIVE CERAMIC BODY
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPS6456351
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

PURPOSE: To increase the density of the titled ceramic body and to make the critical current density uniform and high by adding a binder to powder for a superconductive ceramic material, molding them, degreasing the molded body to increase the reaction area and sintering the molded body.

CONSTITUTION: A powdery starting material mixture for a superconductive ceramic material, e.g., composed essentially of Y2O3, BaCO3 and CuO is calcined and ground. A binder is added to the resulting powder by 5W15wt.% required to attain the highest critical current density and they are mixed and molded. The binder is removed from the molded body by degreasing to form innumerable tiny holes and to increase the reaction area and then the degreased molded body is sintered.
