Title:
PRODUCTION OF SURFACE TREATED STEEL SHEET FOR ADHESIVE SUBSTRATE
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP03229880
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

PURPOSE: To produce a surface treated steel sheet for adhesive substrate having superior adhesive strength by forming a reaction-type chromate film of specific thickness on a galvanized steel sheet, exerting washing, and then carrying out drying under specific temp. conditions.

CONSTITUTION: A galvanized or zinc alloy plated steel sheet (about 5-100g/m2 coating weight) is immersed into a reactiontype chromate solution, by which a chromate film is formed by 0.5-120mg/m2 expressed in terms of Cr. After water washing or hot water rinsing, this steel sheet is dried under the condition of ≥120°C atmospheric temp. and 100-300°C ultimate sheet temp. By this method, the surface treated steel sheet for adhesive substrate excellent in adhesive strength can be obtained.
