PURPOSE: To provide a metallic pipe with a rugged coated film of a synthetic resin, by vibrating a molten synthetic resin or intermittently chaning the feed rate of a metallic pipe when coating the pipe with the resin.

CONSTITUTION: An adhesive 3 such as a modified polyethylene resin base adhesive is preliminarily coated on the outside surface of the metallic pipe 2, and a molten synthetic resin 5 is extruded through a circular die 1. The die 1 is fitted with an extra low frequency vibration genrator 4 and is vibrated, whereby a complicated transverse wrinkle form rugged pattern is generated in the resin 5 being extruded, and the rugged pattern remains as it is at the surface of the resin after the resin is coated on the pipe 2. Alternatively, the rugged pattern is formed on the surface of a coated film 5 of the synthetic resin by a method wherein feed rools 6 for the metallic pipe 2 are alternately rotated forwardly and reversely when coating the resin on the pipe 2.
