Abstract:
To provide a method for producing tasseled cloth on a large scale at low cost, to obtain tasseled cloth, and to provide a loom for producing the same.
This method produces centipede-like tasseled cloth with long tassels projecting from the right and left sides of a band-shaped base cloth woven with warps Y and wefts S by weaving two-layered leno cloth in such a way that the wefts S project in loop from one end of the base cloth, with the turned point of each of the wefts S inserted being formed by knitting a selvedge entanglement yarn W at the other end of the leno cloth, and by unfolding the cloth on the knitted selvedge entanglement yarn W as the center.
