PURPOSE: To obtain readily a resin suspension having little fine particles when converting a thermoplastic resin latex produced by an emulsion polymerization to a suspending state by means of a dispersant, by adding a solvent having a specific solubility factor therein.
CONSTITUTION: A suspending agent such as hydroxyethylcellulose or PVA is added to a thermoplastic resin latex such as acrylonitrile-butadiene-styrene copolymer latex obtained by an emulsion polymerization using a surface active agent. And moreover, a solvent having a solubility factor in the range of -2W +2 to the thermoplastic resin (for example, toluene, dioxane or accetone) is added by 0.1W20pts.wt. to the 100pts.wt. thermoplastic resin to give a resin suspension having little fine particles by which productivity in the separating, washing and drying processing is improved.
