Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To produce impact-resistant thermoplastic composition by mechanically dehydrating a wet elastomer compsn. containing residual moisture up to specific wt.% and mixing the obtained dehydrated elastomer compsn. with a thermoplastic synthetic resin in a screw extruder.
SOLUTION: A weighing supply zone for supplying a wet elastomer compsn A. A containing residual moisture up to 50wt.% to an extruder by a weighing supply device, at least one compression zone having at least one interrupting member and having the dehydration port belonging thereto to perform dehydration treatment, at least one introducing zone melting a thermoplastic synthetic resin B to introduce the same into the extruder, at least one treatment zone having a member performing mixing, kneading and other plasticizing treatment, a degassing zone provided with a degassing port discharging residual moisture as steam and a discharge zone are arranged in an extrusion direction. The elastomer compsn. is supplied to the extruder to be brought to a liquid phase.
