PURPOSE: To efficiency obtain a three-dimensional cloth changing the thickness thereof in the longitudinal direction by inserting a weft yarn between plural rows and columns of warp yarn groups stretched in the plural rows and columns corresponding to the cross-sectional shape of the three-dimensional cloth.
CONSTITUTION: Many warp yarns (z) are stretched in plural rows and columns corresponding to the cross-sectional shape of a three-dimensional cloth and a weft yarn (x) is inserted between rows in a state intersecting the warp yarns (z) at right angles. Many weft yarns (y) continuous for each line are then inserted in a state of intersecting the warp yarns (z) and weft yarns (x) at right angles between the columns. Thereby, the number of rows in the group of the warp yarns (z) into which the weft yarns (x) are inserted is changed in the course of the weaving.
