PURPOSE: To eliminate occurrence of deviation among a plurality of kinds of tiles by molding simultaneously tiles which are to be applied to the same actual place and are different from each other at least in their shapes and calcining the tiles at the same time.

CONSTITUTION: When tiles applied to steps of a building are manufactured, a plurality of the first tiles T1 with a flat upper face and the second tiles T2 which are to be applied on the same plane as that for these first tiles T1 and wherein a plurality of projections M are formed on the upper face are simultaneously molded. Then, the molded tiles T1 and T2 are placed on a setter S and each of the tiles T1 and T2 placed on this setter S is calcined in a calcining oven 11. As a bottom force 1 of the mold used in a molding process, the first molding part 1a wherein 15 pieces of the tiles T1 are molded and the second molding part 1b wherein one piece of the tile T2 is molded are provided and they are placed in a frame body 3 under a condition where the peripheral part is fixed on a liner 4 and are supported by means of a bottom force platen 5.
