Abstract:
PURPOSE: To simply produce trehalose at a low cost.
CONSTITUTION: A microbial cell or its treated substance of a microorganism having the ability to produce trehalose from β-glucose 1-phosphate and glucose or produce the trehalose from maltose in the presence of phosphate radicals is reacted with the β-glucose 1-phosphate and glucose or the maltose in the presence of the phosphate radicals to collect the trehalose.
