A twisted product 13 is produced by twisting one leg piece 12A of a food raw material 11 formed in a V-shape and subsequently twisting the other leg piece 12C together with the leg piece 12A. A twisted product may be produced by twisting one leg piece 12A of the food raw material 11 formed in a V-shape 12 from the tip of the leg piece 12A to the base portion 12B and subsequently twisting the other leg piece 12C from its base portion 12B to the leg piece 12A. The food raw material 11 may also be twisted by disposing the food raw material 11 having the V-shape 12 on a belt conveyer 22 so that the spreading direction of the V-shape 12 of the food raw material 11 having the V-shape 12 is approximately coincident to the transfer direction of the conveyer and subsequently bringing the food raw material into contact with the belt conveyer 22 and a twisting member 50 disposed on the belt conveyer 22 to pass through both the members.
