Abstract:
PURPOSE: To prevent a polyploidic nucleus from converting into micronuclei and sufficiently produce a polyploid in forming the polyploidic nucleus when producing the ultrahigh-order polyploid such as 8-32 multiple (or ≥8 multiple).
CONSTITUTION: Colchicine or trichostatin or both are added to a swollen conidium of molds and culture is then carried out according to the stationary culture for ≥24hr. The concentration of the added colchicine is ≤1% or that of the added trichostatin is ≤1μg/ml (0.0001%).
