Title:
PRODUCTION AND USE OF RIGID POLYURETHANE FOAM WITH LOW THERMAL CONDUCTIVITY
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP3660724
Kind Code:
B2
Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To further reduce the thermal conductivity of a polyurethane foam without using a blowing agent which is toxic and/or harmful to the environment.
SOLUTION: An org. polyisocyanate and/or a modified org. polyisocyanate is reacted with at least one relatively high-molecular compd. having at least two active hydrogen atoms and, if necessary, a low-molecular chain extender and/or a low-molecular cross-linker in the presence of a blowing agent, a catalyst, and, if necessary, other additives to give a polyurethane foam which contains at least 32 wt.% arom. groups derived from the polyisocyanate, the active hydrogen compd., and the chain extender and/or the cross-linker.
