Abstract:
PURPOSE: To provide a production method for a water-born manicure agent which can give a coating layer having excellent color tone and gloss and improved resistance to water.
CONSTITUTION: This manicure agent is produced by formulating a water-born pigment dispersion in which the pigments are dispersed in a medium containing, as dispersing agents, a surfactant of 12-20 HLB and/or an addition polymer of ethylenically unsaturated molecules containing α,β-mono-ethylenically unsaturated acid of 100-l,000 acid value to a water-born resin emulsion. The surfactant is an EO adduct to a polyhydric alcohol ester, an EO adduct to a higher alcohol, an ionic surfactant such as sodium oleate, while the α,β-mono-ethylenically unsaturated acid in the addition polymer is (meth)acrylic acid, maleic acid, or fumaric acid. Further, α,β-mono-ethylenically unsaturated molecule is, for example, hydroxyalkyl (meth)acrylate, (meth)acrylamide, alkyl (meth)acrylate, styrene or the like.
