Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPH0499501
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

PURPOSE: To reduce the production cost and improve waterproofness by packing or applying a sol soln. made of a polyvinyl chloride (PVC) resin into the recessed part of a shoe sole contact part formed of both ends of an upper member and an insole, then gelatinizing the soln. by heating.

CONSTITUTION: The upper member 5 consisting of an upper material 2 and an upper lining 4 joined with a waterproof blank material 3, etc., is pulled over together with the insole 6 to a last 7 and the separately prepd. sol soln. 9 made of the PVC resin is packed or applied in the shoe sole contact part 8 formed of the ends 5b of the pull over margins 5a of the upper member 5 and the insole 6 and is then heated by a far IR heater 11 or other arbitrary heat source, by which the sol soln. made of the PVC resin is gelatinized from the sol state by way of the half gelatinized state. A sealing part 10 is thereby formed on the periphery of the recessed part 8a of the shoe sole contact part 8 and the pull over margin 5a and further the shoe sole is joined and integrated.
